(The original English-language article by Diego Gaudenzi, Grantor Management Product Owner, was first published <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sap.com\/2023\/10\/02\/sap-grantor-management-what-is-new-since-s-4hana-2022-initial-shipment\/\">here<\/a>.) This includes both S\/4HANA 2022 FPS1 and FPS2, as well as the new features introduced with the S\/4HANA 2023 release, available since October 2023. The latter release is considered the \u2018go-to\u2019 release, ensuring compatibility with both older software and next-generation software. (The screenshots below are in English.) <\/p>\n\n<p>Below is a list of features, along with the releases in which they are available:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Funds released (S\/4HANA 2022 FPS1)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>With the new \u2018Claims\u2019 feature, applicants can request payments for the amounts agreed in the grant decision or based on expenditure already incurred.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"908\" height=\"242\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.adesso-bc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-35.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.adesso-bc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-35.png 908w, https:\/\/blog.adesso-bc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/image-35-480x128.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 908px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Fig. 2: The fund allocation function <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>Integration of Case-Management-Function (S\/4HANA 2023 FPS0)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-8cb769f1-9aab-404a-bbd3-392b3a12c238\">The \u2018Add object to a grant award case\u2019 business add-in allows you to add objects from an application, an approval and\/or a call for funds relating to the grant award to a case.<\/p>\n\n<p id=\"block-12d999b5-d89c-4669-91f5-247f0b70002f\">A sample process is included by default. The following objects can be used in this sample process: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-78f3361c-b2e0-45e7-979a-285dda6f02db\">\n<li>Business partner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding scheme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Permits <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding requests<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amendments to the funding allocation <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funds reservation documents, e.g. for provisional funding commitments or firm funding commitments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>invoicing documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p> Further information on case management can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/help.sap.com\/docs\/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE\/c9b5e9de6e674fb99fff88d72c352291\/45f1bb353b5406f7e10000000a155369.html?locale=de-DE\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Ad hoc billing plans (S\/4HANA 2023 FPS0)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The previous Grantor Management solution in CRM supported milestone invoicing plans. However, as these have been replaced by ad hoc invoicing plans in S\/4HANA, the new release has activated ad hoc invoicing plans for all grant objects, i.e. applications, approvals and calls for funds. If ad hoc invoicing plans are used, the authorised amount can be split into several instalments. Such changes may be initiated by either the grant recipient or the funding organisation. It is important to keep an eye on the upcoming changes in future releases using the SAP Roadmap Explorer.
